Federal Direct Stafford Loan

In order to receive a Federal Direct Stafford Loan you must first complete the FAFSA. If you are a first-time borrower you are required to complete both a Master Promissory Note (MPN) as well as Entrance Loan Counseling at www.studentloans.gov.

NJCLASS Loan

IMPORTANT: Please remember to “accept” your loan on HESAA.org once they have sent an e-mail certification confirmation. Failure to do so within 30 days will result in your loan being canceled. Click here for info.

    ATTENTION: HESAA is now taking 2013-2014 NJ Class Loan applications.
  • Deferred Payment Options available at this year’s interest rates.
  • If next year’s interest rates are lower you will be required to complete a new application.
  • If next year’s interest rates are higher HESAA will still honor your locked in interest rate.
  • Remember: TCNJ will certify 2013-2014 loans when bills are calculated in July.
  • Borrower/Cosigner credit checks are good for 180 days (6 months).
  • You must have all requested documents into our office in order to have your loan certified.

Entrance and Exit Loan Counseling

ALL student loan borrowers at TCNJ are required to participate in Entrance and Exit Student Loan Counseling. TEACH Grant recipients are also required to complete Entrance Counseling.
